Black Jelly Fungus

These Fungi are named jelly fungus because their bodies resemble the consistency of jelly and are coloured white, orange, pink, rose, brown or black. However we are more familiar with the white, brown and black variety in our diets. It has a crunchy texture and is commonly used in vegetables or soup dishes. Its application in traditional Chinese medicine treats iron deficiency anemia, haematemesis, uterine bleeding, hemorrhoid, high blood pressure, coronary diseases, and even cancer prevention.
